The following page will share resources available for “Free Use” by Sikhs and Gurdwara’s around the World. If you enjoy using these items, or have any suggestions for improvements or new resources, get in touch by emailing info@southlondonsikhyouth.co.uk

School Visits and Gurdwara Visits

We are working on contacting all Gurdwaras in a 3 mile radius of Woolwich, with an offer of on-site and off-site education about Sikhi and Sikhs, aimed at both children and adults (eg. school teachers or parents). If you would like us to work with your school, get in touch by emailing info@southlondonsikhyouth.co.uk

For Gurdwara visits, in the past we have worked with Gurdwara Sahib Woolwich, Erith and Belvedere Guru Nanak Darbar Sikh Temple, Gurdwara Guru Hargobind Sahib Dartford and Ramgarhia Sikh Association to facilitate and lead school visits at the Gurdwara.

Note: Ramgarhia Sikh Association no longer allows volunteers to lead/facilitate school visits at their Gurdwara (last checked 3rd July 2023).

Hukamnama Screen

We are working on a new set of PPTs and MP4s for use on any screen anywhere, that will give both the Hukamnama Sahib in Gurmukhi, as well as Punjabi and English translations.

We hope that this effort will provide the sangat with powerpoint files that are:

  • clear to see,
  • similar format throughout,
  • and manually checked and verified against source.

We also hope to produce video files that can be used standalone on most Smart TV’s, to present the abovementioned powerpoints in a MP4 video format, on loop for the sangat to enjoy and experience throughout the day.

Here is a sneak peek:
